Carly Pearce revealed the hard fall, which led her to stitches. Yes, the 30-year-old singer and songwriter had a major accident right before she was preparing herself for the Country Music Awards 2020. The event kicked off thriving as the red carpet witnessed some eye-catchy fashionable stars and fantastic performers lineup for the annual ceremony.

The event marked the first award show that happened with a live audience and performers present at the same venue. While the live show looked a little different because of the pandemic safety measures, the host duo of the show, Darius Rucker and Reba McEntire, ensured that the event is filled with lighthearted and fun moments.

However, Pearce had some roller coaster ride as her duet partner, Lee Brice, got replaced by Charles Kelley at the last moment after he got tested positive for COVID-19. Although there were some more troubles in the way of the singer as she met an accident before she performed I Hope You're Happy Now.

In an interview with ET, the singer revealed that she went through an accident before bagging the award. She noted that it had been an intense week as she fell on her front two teeth. Pearce admitted she was extremely scared as she got a bunch of stitches.

"Right before all of that happened, I had an accident…I fell on Halloween and had a bunch of stitches in my mouth, knocked my two front teeth out, was, like, completely mangled," she explained. Pearce further explained that she is standing now backstage, and talking about the incident seems extremely intense week for her.

However, Pearce noted that it makes all worth it at the end of the day. Although she admitted that she felt self-conscious because of her face injury to attend the show, but now, it feels amazing. Pearce is not the only one who had a hard time during the event.

While Kelley took over Brice, Lady A also got dropped from the event because some of their band members' family person contracted the virus. Thankfully, Kelley pre-recorded one of the performances with Pearce before the news was announced.

Pearce said that 2020 had shed light on what all could happen in your personal and professional life. She further revealed that she is looking forward to entering the new year and the only thing she is excited about is the new music. While CMA Awards turned out to be great for the singer, she hopes to maintain similar momentum in the upcoming year.
