Gemma Collins thinks that now is the time when her country requires her entertainment values the most. She has also compared herself with Marilyn Monroe.

The TOWIE star is convinced that her presence has become very crucial now that the country is facing a lockdown amid the coronavirus breakout. The 39-year-old celebrity also compared herself to Marilyn Monroe who had performed for the American troops in Korea. 

She was speaking with her fans before her new television show titled “Diva on Lockdown” was aired this Sunday. Collins mentioned that she intends to keep her country “entertained” at this tough time. 

Collins added that Monroe was sent for entertaining the American army during war times. She has realized that the nation may require her for entertainment. She would be more than happy to do so with this new TV series. 

The celebrity further said that she is a “reality queen” and wishes “people to see the realness.” Collins has been shooting her new reality TV show and revealed that it has been unusual to make such a program for the TV amid the lockdown. 

The reality TV star mentioned: "Basically it's very strange, I'm not gonna lie, it's bizarre.” She explained that usually there are many people around while filming a TV show. So, one can “have a laugh with” all these people while shooting.

Gemma Collins said that although they had planned to shoot the series at different locations, they could not do so because of the current situation. However, she did not want to give up and “make the best of every situation.” The star is convinced that they have done a fabulous job with this series. 

However, she has at her candid best while sharing that when the camera was fixed in her home, it was like returning to the sets of “Big Brother” once more minus the people around her, Mirror reports. Her TV show “Diva on Lockdown” aired at 9 pm on Apr. 26 this year and Collins was back with a bang. 

Meanwhile, the star left her fans ecstatic as they cried and laughed simultaneously as the show premiered on ITVBe yesterday night. The “TOWIE” alum was in her signature persona as she reported her life a fortnight before the coronavirus lockdown started in the United Kingdom.

Several of her viewers took to Twitter and twitted their merriment at the hilarious remarks made by Gemma Collins such as accidentally addressing Prince Charles as “Chiles”, claiming that she had forecasted the coronavirus economic crash, and her light-hearted flirting with a bathroom salesman, Daily Mail reports.
