A pollster for President Donald Trump's campaign claims that the media tried to suppress voters in a bid to conduct pre-election surveys that wrongly showed Democratic nominee Joe Biden way ahead of the POTUS. The media has received mixed reactions from supporters of both parties, with the former vice president's supporters lauding it while the president's allies calling it out for its bias reporting.

In line with that, Fox News recently came under fire from Trump allies to project that Biden will win Arizona’s 11 electoral votes. According to Reuters, this prediction came when most news networks were waiting for more evidence before making any sort of claim.

Pollster John McLaughlin claims he received a call from Trump after the Washington Post/ABC poll released a survey showing him behind Biden by 17 points in Wisconsin's key state. CEO/Partner of McLaughlin & Associates, McLaughlin, took to his Twitter account on Nov. 6 to reveal that several polling firms increased numbers for Biden in a bid to suppress Trump voters.

In another tweet, McLaughlin accused "corrupt" media pollsters of trying to suppress Trump voters through fake polls. The Associated Press revealed that Biden was leading Trump by a marginal 49.6 percent to 49 percent, which translated to about 20,000 votes. McLaughlin was in the Badger State, conducting polls for the president.

During his appearance on John Catsimatidis’ 77 WABC “Cats At Night” radio show on Wednesday, McLaughlin said the president called him and asked if this could be true. McLaughlin went on to explain this was a strategy adopted by the Democrats in a bid to quell his votes.

According to McLaughlin, incorrect polls not counting the president's supporters were particularly damaging because most of Trump's voters were bent on voting in person on Nov. 3. Biden's supporters, on the other hand, had voted early. Despite this, a staggering 160 million Americans voted in this year's elections amid the still raging coronavirus pandemic. Moreover, nearly two-thirds of voters cast ballots, marking the highest turnout since 2000.

McLaughlin's survey comprising 1000 voters was released across the nation on Thursday. The survey shows 58 percent of Biden supporters voted early, while a noteworthy 62 percent of the president's supporters voted on Election Day.

His own internal surveys for the president's campaign in Wisconsin showed a close race, within the sampling margin of error. He said the Washington Post-ABC poll under-sampled Trump voters by a notable 8 points and described the action as voter suppression.
