There has been no dearth of divorce rumors surrounding the Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney and his lawyer wife, Amal Clooney. A recent report insists that George is upset because he might have to pay around $500 Million to Amal in case they split.

A new report purports that the Hollywood actor blames himself amid rising speculation of his divorce from wife Amal. The actor, allegedly, regrets because he did not convince his wife to sign a prenuptial before tying the knot in 2014.

An insider mentions that the Ocean’s Eleven actor may be in deep financial trouble if their divorce is finalized. The Batman and Robin star may even lose half his wealth after shelling out this hefty amount.

The unnamed source did not stop here and stated that the actor did not have a big hit film in his kitty for some time now. In case he has to part from such a big amount, he needs to start working on projects, which could make money.

However, contrary to what the report hints, George has not stopped working in films. His next project, a film titled The Midnight Sky, is slated to hit theaters in December this year. (via People Magazine).

The tipster further mentions that his legal team is trying to find a solution to this possible issue. It seems they have to file their divorce in the United Kingdom as Amal is still a citizen of that country and they tied the knot there, according to the same source.

There have been other incorrect reports, including a recent one, which claimed that George Clooney was developing a fondness for Jennifer Aniston as his divorce speculations intensified. However, a spokesperson of the Friends alum dismissed the report, Gossip Cop reports.

The rumors surrounding the Clooneys are not new and have been debunked several times in the past. Meanwhile, George and Amal Clooney, reportedly, told a few fellow guests while attending the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that they did not know them well.

The 59-year-old Hollywood heartthrob and his 42-year-old wife were among the few fortunate invitees at the royal wedding in Windsor Castle two years ago to see the couple exchange their vows.

A British journalist called Rachel Johnson purported that the Clooneys told some guests that they were not the royals’ best buddies. The journalist also added that some other celebrities such as David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham, James Corden, and Oprah Winfrey might also not be old friends of the royal couple, Mirror.co.uk reports.
