The lives of the royal wives are a huge interest to the public. How they live is shrouded in mystery as they integrate the royal ways into their daily life.

A lot of changes have undergone for most of these women, especially those wives who are considered as ‘commoners’ with no noble backgrounds.

One woman, in particular, is Kate Middleton, considered to be the jewel of the royal family. The future royal consort has gone through some rough patches with Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge has been successful in both being a wife and a royal through advice given to her by Camilla Parker-Bowles, The Duchess of Cornwall.

Robert Lacey reveals in his newest book ‘Battle of Brothers’ that the Duchess of Cornwall gave Kate very good advice early on in her relationship with Prince William.

Lacey claims that the advice is how Kate Middleton powered through her relationship with the Prince.

Camilla, who is married to Prince Charles, the heir apparent, confided to Kate regarding how to ‘hang on to a busy prince.’

According to the Duchess of Cornwall’s advice, Kate Middleton has to ‘fit’ her time table on Prince William’s schedule.

“The secret of hanging on to a busy prince: fit your timetable – well, basically your whole life – around his,” Robert Lacey said.

In ‘Battle of Brothers’ Lacey details the Camilla and Kate dialogue is portrayed but the royal expert also explains that the advice is erroneous as William’s early life, especially at the University of St. Andrew, was kept private.

The time Prince William went back to his public royal responsibilities was when he was 23 and went on his first royal tour alone.

Kate and Prince William’s relationship budded when they first met in the University, where the Prince was said to be smitten with the Duchess.

The pair ended up dating on-and-off for over nine years before finally announcing their engagement.

Lacey also claims that after the couple graduated from University, Kate Middleton had a back-up plan if ever her relationship with the future King grows weary.

One of their most famous break-ups happened almost two years before the pair’s engagement with Prince William rumored to have dumped Kate over the phone while she was at work.

William addressed the break-up on their engagement announcement wherein the Prince told the media that both he and Kate were trying to find themselves during the brief break-up.

The couple continues to grow strong as the years go by and share three children together.
