This year finally seems to be going better and north at least for the music industry. A week back, the "Thank U, Next" singer Ariana Grande delighted her fans with the announcement that she would be rolling out her much-awaited sixth studio album currently dubbed "#AG6" – and now it’s Miley Cyrus who has revealed that she is currently beavering away on a  musical project, an album of Metallica Cover. To be precise, it will be a Metallica Tribute album which will be dropped towards the end of the year, in all probability – considering the timing of Miley’s announcement.

The American legendary heavy metal band, Metallica doesn’t any introduction. The group has a grand reputation based on belting out fiery songs like no other group. One of the most successful bands of all time, Metallica has six Grammy awards under their belt. Moreover, the last six albums of the all-men band have all debuted number one on Billboard 200.

While chatting with Interview magazine, the “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” singer talked about extending the legacy of the heavy metal band. The singer explained that at first, it didn’t strike as a very inspiring project, but then as she gave it some time, it got her all psyched up about the work.

She also said that it’s a really fortunate happening that she got to work on such a huge project during this time marked with a drought of good projects.

The singer said, ‘We’re so lucky to be able to continue to work on our art during all of this. At first, it felt uninspiring and now I’ve been ignited.”

In the year 2019 during her performance in “Glastonbury,” the Slide Away singer gave her voice to heavy metal band’s popular song “Nothing Else Matters.” Based on how that turned out, it’s not wrong to expect that one more good feather is going to be added on Miley's hat.

Although Miley doesn’t quite believe in zipping up and spills beans on anything and everything, this time she has decided to keep mum and hasn’t revealed much about the cover album – the songs that will be used, release date, or any collaboration that she may possibly have made for the tribute have all been kept concealed.

While fans would have loved some more details, it’s still exciting to know that soon we will get to hear Miley singing iconic and historical metal songs
