Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited as guest speakers on a special edition of TIME100 Talks.

The couple was reportedly asked to talk about the dangers of social media since they are considered experts in the field. However, critics of Prince Harry and Markle couldn’t agree less with TIME’s decision to tap the Sussexes to speak on the important topic.

During his interview with TIME editor-in-chief and CEO Edward Felsenthal, Prince Harry clarified that he and Markle never considered themselves experts on social media. He said that he and his wife simply convened a suitable panel.

The Duke of Sussex also said that he felt something wasn’t right. That’s why He and Markle decided to collaborate with experts to discuss the dangers of social media.

He said that his job is to encourage people to listen to the real experts on the subject and for the experts to be able to explain what’s been happening in the online world.

The Duke of Sussex said that the issue isn't restricted to certain social media platforms and conversations. After all, online bullying and the like can be considered a global crisis because it promotes hate, misinformation, and a global health crisis.

Meanwhile, Markle also weighed in on the matter by telling everyone that the dangers of social media don’t just have to do with issues in technology. Rather, these dangers can be considered a human problem and it’s been affecting a lot of people deeply online.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle couldn’t also help but talk about their 1-year-old son, Archie, during their recent interview with TIME. The couple said that they’re trying their best not to miss a single moment with the 1-year-old.

Felsenthal asked the couple how they’ve been doing recently and Markle said that she and Prince Harry are trying to embrace all the quality time that they can get with their son right now.

Prince Harry also said that the simple answer to the question of how they’ve been doing is that they’re doing good. But he and Markle also know that there are still a lot of things to do and a lot of work they need to focus on.

The Duke of Sussex also agreed with his wife about the importance of spending quality time with their son.
