Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are enjoying their life in California, known as the sunshine state, Prince Harry most especially is loving it in his new home.

Meghan Markle is no stranger to the life in California as the ex-actress turned royal was born and raised in Los Angeles.

Although choosing to move to Canada in the much later years of her life, her and Prince Harry’s decision to leave the royal firm has seen her going back to America.

The new life of the Sussexes has been one that has been kept quite a secret. The now ‘private citizen’ Duke and Duchess have purchased a $14.7 million estate in an exclusive suburbia in Montecito, Santa Barbara.

The couple, together with their 16-month-old son, Archie Harrison has been living in their new home since early July according to sources.

Harry’s 36th birthday was also spent in their lovely new home.

Many people were speculating as to what Meghan Markle was going to give to Prince Harry. When Harry turned 35, the Duchess was said to have put up a camping area in their backyard in Frogmore Cottage, reliving their Botswana days.

Insiders of the Duke and Duchess have revealed that Meghan Markle gave Prince Harry a very simple yet meaningful gift, Surfing lessons.

This does not come as a shock to those who know Harry. The Prince has been a keen surfer and has even confessed that he and his brother, William have tried surfing in the UK, in Devon.

Before Harry proposed to Meghan Markle, the brothers had a trip to Devon to surf.

Just like his mother and father, Prince Harry fell in love with the sport.

Harry’s zest for life is something he got from his mother. A royal aide of the late Princess Diana revealed a long time ago that the Princess of Wales was a good surfer, and thoroughly enjoyed the sport.

Diana was said to have learned the sport when she visited her mother in Australia. The Princess took some time off from her public life in the UK.

After tabloids learned about her and Prince Charles, Diana flew to Australia to spend some time with her mother and to also reflect on her future prospects.

There she fell in love with surfing, something that she shared in common with Prince Charles who professed that he too tried the sport.

Meghan and Harry are currently living in Montecito, California.
