While one of the couples was supposed to get eliminated on Dancing With the Stars, the exit wasn't that smooth for the couple. The exit became embarrassing for the couple because of the host, Tyra Banks, who announced the incorrect name of the couple that stands in the bottom two categories.

There were three different dancing couples waiting to learn if it was their last evening on the show, Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd, Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko, and Ann Heche and Keo Motsepe.

The 46-year-old host announced Davis and Murgatroyd and Heche and Motsepe as the bottom two couples. However, America's Next Top Model star immediately realized her mistake, and she said that there is an error. She continued to explain the mistake and called for two couples.

"I'm looking right now, and we have three couples. So we need to clarify this for one second. The bottom two couples are Anne and Keo and Monica [Aldama] and Val [Chmerkovskiy]," the television personality said.

The moment became awkward when Banks asked Monica and Val to come back as they left the stage after a safe announcement by the host. She tried to handle the situation and said that there is an error due to which the couple isn't able to hear, but the control room will be fixed soon and make them come back on the stage.

Banks looked nervous and asked with a smile that this is going live already on television. A couple of minutes before the show went off-air, the host couldn't get enough time to clarify the fault. However, the host apologized and mentioned that the cards provided to her had an error.

Then she went to the jury to confirm the names again, who they want to keep on the show. However, she said that this is broadcasting live, and we all are humans who can make such a mistake. Eventually, Heche and Motsepe were let go of the show, and Aldama and Chmerkovskiy were saved.

After the judges confirmed and the final announcement was made, Banks asked Monica and Val to go ahead and celebrate for being saved. Aldama and Chmerkovskiy left the stage having confused facial expressions.

Netizens took social media to compare the moment with Steve Harvey, who by mistaken crowned the wrong girl as Miss Universe back in 2015. However, some fans took a dig at Banks and said that this mistake would have been avoided if Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron were still hosting the show.
