Meghan Markle is once again at the center of another controversy involving money.

According to Woman’s Day, $35 million has been missing from the royal family. The misleading headline seemingly suggests that someone stole from the British clan. But upon close inspection, the article is about the royal family’s financial losses over the years.

A source told the magazine that Prince Charles spent a whopping $901,000 on his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, and their respective families last year. But the insider then shifted its focus on Markle to put most of the blame on her – again.

“Most of that went to Meghan. Her wardrobe costs alone far exceeded usual spending,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Kate Middleton was terrified when she found out just how much money Prince Charles spent on Markle.

“Even after Charles and the Sovereign Grant bowed to everything they wanted, Harry and Meghan still left. And now Kate’s been left to shoulder the brunt, and in the future, so will her children. Kate is prepared to do whatever it takes but this was a bitter pill to swallow given that her family will quite literally be scrambling to make up for their frivolous spending by working harder, most likely for less,” the source said.

According to the tabloid, Queen Elizabeth already told the royal family that their losses would reach $35 million by 2021. However, it is important to note that a huge chunk of his figure came from losses brought about by the coronavirus pandemic and not by Markle.

Still, Woman’s Day once again preyed on Prince Harry’s wife by putting all the blame on her. And in true tabloid fashion, they pitted Markle against Middleton by saying that the latter is doing all the work for much less than what the Suits alum got.

As such, one should take these claims with a grain of salt. After all, not everything that’s published by Woman’s Day is accurate. Last week, they claimed that Markle is pregnant when she’s not.

Two weeks ago, they also claimed Markle had her biggest tantrum ever. And then they accused her of threatening the royal family with her $75 million demand.

However, none of these claims are true. Markle is living a quiet life in the United States away from the cameras and the royal family.
