Kelly Marie Tran took a decision back in 2018 that she would quit social media. Well, fast forward today the actress seemed to be happier than ever. The actress recently opened up about her upcoming series, Monsterland on Hulu and also spoke about her absence on social media.

The actress left social media after getting bullied online for portraying Rose Tico's character in the popular franchise, Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Episode VIII). In a recent interview, Marie Tran called her to move to leave social media as the best decision.

While the 31-year-old actress agreed that this decision might seem different for everyone but eventually one should do what is "right for them". Marie Tran said to Ash Crossan that it was the right thing she did and it seems funny to her that people get surprised knowing the decision makes her happy.

"I also think that ... it was the best thing I ever did. I don't know. It's funny, it feels like people are still shocked by it sometimes. I'm like, no ... I just did what was best for me," she explained. She laughed off that she feels great about the decision and people are shocked.

The actress will be seen in a horror series that will premiere on Oct. 2. The series is a collection of several different plots from writer Nathan Ballingrud that will feature fallen angels, mermaids, and many other beasts that have been never covered.

Marie Tran disclosed one episode that is named Iron River, MI. in which the actress played Lauren's character who came back to Michigan to get married. Her friend gets disappeared at the age of 16. While explaining the episode, the actress said that the characters are so complex and fun to play.

There are times when the character isn't sure if they are portraying evil or good. In fact, the character doesn't know what's going to happen next, which reflects in real life. The actress went on to explain what makes someone known as a good or bad person.

There are times when the answer to such a question becomes difficult. She explained that there is a context with every bad or good thing a person performs and then there are other aspects that need to be considered before judging anyone's act. Besides this horror series, the actress will also provide a voice over in Disney's film, Raya and the Last Dragon.
