The Sandringham Summit, which was a highly private agreement between senior royals and their advisors was created due to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s announcement of exiting the royal family.

The sudden announcement of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in January that they were stepping down from their royal duties was a surprise the royal institution was not expecting.

Although the royal family released a statement right after Harry and Meghan fulfilled their last duties that they have known the plans of the Sussex’s as well as fully supporting them, the announcement made via Instagram was not foreseen.

Senior royal, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh was revealed to be disappointed at Harry and Meghan Markle.

A royal biography written by Ingrid Seward has discussed Prince Philip’s opinion on the royal exit.

According to Ms. Seward, Prince Philip did not take it lightly and was very irritated at Meghan Markle for being unable to support Prince Harry’s royal life.

He also cannot comprehend why Prince Harry would leave his entire life when he had so much going on for him in the royal folds.

When the Sandringham Summit was called by the Queen, it was an emergent summit and Prince Philip who was in Sandringham at that time was immediately whisked away.

One of their royal members, Penelope Knutchubull, Countess Mountbatten of Burma was present at that time in Sandringham Palace.

The Queen was said to have personally asked the Countess Mountbatten to take Prince Philip for a ride as the summit was going on.

Ms. Seward explained these events as that Prince Philip no longer want to get involved with Meghan and Harry, and with the Sandringham Summit being an unanticipated course of action by the Queen, Prince Philip had to be saved from the meeting.

Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry, and the Queen, together with their royal advisors were present during the Summit.

In the meeting, they discussed the repercussion of Prince Harry’s life outside of the royal family. It was there that it was decided that Harry and Meghan be stripped off from their ‘HRH’ title.

The SussexRoyal trademark was also taken away from the couple.

It was also discussed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have one year to truly decide their faiths upon leaving the royal household.

The Sandringham Summit will once again hold an accord on March 2021 to assess the Duke and Duchess’s commercial ventures.
