The Biden campaign released two digital videos that raise questions about Trump's preparation for dealing with the outbreak. Aside from that, these videos also claim that the president wasn't forceful enough in demanding clarity from Chinese leaders.

One of the aforesaid videos shows former President Joe Biden accused Trump of leaving the United States exposed and vulnerable to the pandemic. Biden says he ignored the continuous warnings of the health experts and intelligence agencies and opted to trust China's leaders instead.

In another video, former deputy secretary of state and a foreign policy adviser to Biden Tony Blinken claims Trump wasn't strict enough with China when he should have. Joe Biden will ensure that China lives up to its duties, Blinken said.

The video shows how the Biden campaign plans to cash in on the president's response to coronavirus central and use it against him in the upcoming election. This comes in response to Trump's and allies' efforts to present Biden as soft on China.

Rapid response director for President Trump's re-election campaign Andrew Clark responded to Biden's video by pointing out that the former president spent over four decades in Washington being loyal to Beijing, adding that Americans will not forget that. Trump's re-election campaign last week launched an ad to show Biden as overly friendly with the Chinese leaders.

The campaign featured deceptive images and audio clips, CNN Politics reported. It went as far as suggesting that former governor of Washington Gary Locke was a Chinese official. Moreover, the campaign highlights Biden's son, Hunter's previous business dealings in China.

While talking to reporters, Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio pointed out that Trump's false claims against Vice President Biden are an attempt to deviate people's attention from his failure to take a stand against China for American workers and more importantly, his inability to prepare the country for the pandemic. He said, President Trump's tactics include dividing and distracting, but the American people know better.

The COVID-19 outbreak and China have become top campaign issues for both parties. Keeping in line with that, pro-Trump America First Action on Thursday launched a $10 million ad campaign in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, targeting Biden over China.

As a response, the pro-Biden group American Bridge announced a $15 million ad campaign in the same states, which have quickly transformed as battlegrounds for both sides. The pro-Biden group American Bridge slammed the president for how he handled the coronavirus pandemic and his approach to China.
