Maya Rudolph is proud of her recent performance! The 48-year-old actress who portrayed Kamala Harris, United States Senator on Saturday Night Live considered a proud moment in her professional life.

Rudolph enacted the 55-year-old Democratic vice presidential nominee on the 45th season of Saturday Night Live that premiered in 2019 and now, she revealed her wish to portray her for many more years in the future.

In an interview with Lauren Zima, the actress said that it is an honor to get into the presidential race in any way and this seemed to be extremely unique and one of its kind. The actress recalled when she met the California senator and how incredible and fantastic she was during the meeting.

“She is so energizing and I just feel so good to be associated with someone so positive, I just want to do her proud -- just do a good job, no pressure," she added. Last week, Rudolph received her Emmy for the impression of the senator but she believes that her performance wasn't convincing enough.

The actress seemed to be quite critical about her own performance and said that she didn't exactly "nailed it". However, Rudolph disclosed that she was trying to make Harris look fun as she gets a good vibe from her.

She further explained that by looking at Harris, one may tell that she loves to live life while she is an honest and real person. The actress also praised Harris for not holding herself back when speaking her thoughts in public and that seemed to be the most important thing in the country.

The Life of the Party star went on to explain that Harris is a joyful person and one can spot her "dancing in the room". According to Rudolph, Harris is a great human being and she almost couldn't recollect how it feels to come across something so optimistic.

The actress further said that she is extremely glad to see Harris out in the election and she hopes that Harris wins. Meanwhile, Rudolph also hinted her fans that her role of Harris might get reprised on the show in the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live.

The show is supposed to premiere on Oct. 3 and Megan Thee Stallion will be performing as a guest on a musical night. However, it is an important week for Rudolph as her latest movie also debuts on Oct. 7, Hubie Halloween that stars Adam Sandler, Tim Meadows, Steve Buscemi, and Julie Bowen.
