A string of celebrities have tried to show their mettle in the field of politics, but only a handful have succeeded – and the bodybuilder turned actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has done it the best, by far. For all those who might have forgotten, Schwarzeneggar was the 38th governor of California who served for 8 long years from 2003 to 2011 – and as of 2020, he is the most recent Republican governor of the state of California.

It’s probably the same political experience that is helping him understand the turbulent politics of current days in the United States and he is serving very well - probably a lot better than his fellow celebrities.

On usual, when a celebrity gets involved in a political discussion – it is just to get the piece of attention of media and their fans who are always looking forward to hearing their favorite celebrities speak on the burning issues.

A nice set of words are shot, but a shred of step is not taken to improve the situations. Well, that is one thing, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is a bit of a departure from regular celebrities who give out nothing but self-absorbed blather.

Arnold Schwarzenegger takes a step further.

As per a report, the former governor of California stated on Thursday that he offered grants to election officials in nearly 6,000 counties previously covered by the Voting Rights Act.

Shedding light on why all he did was very important, The Terminator actor tweeted that he sent "letter to nearly 6,000 elections officials and county commissioners in states funded by me. [The grants] are completely non-partisan and will be offered to those who demonstrate the greatest need and ability to close gaps in voting access.” Of course, a great step to enhance voting in the country especially in the time of pandemic led crisis.

The grants for the officials will be entirely administered through the University of Southern California Schwarzenegger Institute.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the voting system has undergone a significant change to eliminate the chances of the spread of infection. The same has sparked fears among citizens as well as politicians including President Donald Trump that the chances are high there may be cheating in the process.

Donald Trump has repeatedly voiced his concern regarding the voting system for the year saying that there the votes may be wrongfully counted. He wanted it to be the traditional way which is not quite possible in 2020.
