Billie Lourd and Austen Rydell announced earlier this week that they have welcomed their first child, a son. Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday, the 28-year-old Booksmart actress gave her fans and followers the good news.

"Introducing: Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell," she wrote in the caption, sharing a picture of her newborn baby's feet. The grandson of late Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher was fittingly sporting a solar system onesie and was wrapped in a blue and white tinted blanket.

Reacting with excitement to the post, Lourd's Scream Queen co-star Emma Roberts, who is currently expecting her first child wrote, "Screaming!!! Love you guys so much." Aside from that, Lourd received a "congrats" and a "mazel tov" from her two Booksmart co-stars Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein, respectively.

Lourd and Rydell got engaged in June. Announcing the happy news on Instagram Rydell wrote that saying, "yes" to his proposal wasn't something that required reasoning for the Scream Queens actress. Noting that she said yes, Rydell wrote that she actually said "Duhhh," adding that he thinks it's even better than yes, he captioned a slew of photos that summarized their romance.

Back in July, Rydell posted a sweet tribute to Lourd on her birthday on his Instagram account, wishing his fiance a happy birthday, noting that it felt like it was his birthday. In Feb., Rydell shared a sweet Valentine's Day tribute to her on Instagram, posting a photo of the couple sharing a kiss in front of the sunset.

The 28-year-old actor announced that he found the best girl in the world in the post, wishing himself and Lourd a Happy Valentine’s Day. In the post, he noted that they were hanging out with the redwoods.

Lourd responded by sharing a slideshow of photos featuring her and Rydell. They first dated in 2016, before breaking up, and then rekindling their romance in 2017.

In Dec. 2017, Rydell and Lourd took a trip to Norway to honor the one-year anniversary of the actress' mother's death. Fisher was best known for portraying the role of Princess/General Leia Organa in the Star Wars franchise. She died in 2016 at the age of 60.

The daughter of Fisher and Bryan Lourd has previously opened up about her childhood with her mother. In an essay for Time in Nov. 2019, the actress wrote she grew up with three parents including her father, mother, and childhood. She described Princess Leia as a stepmom, who was part of the family, but she didn't really like her.
