There are several other performers who made it to the list such as J Balvin, Bong Joon-Ho, Greg Berlanti, JoJo Siwa, Michaela Coel, Billy Porter, Tyler Perry, Ali Wong, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, The Weeknd, Gabrielle Union, Jennifer Hudson, and Halsey.

The Time magazine ensured to let people know what these influential personalities did to earn the honor by highlighting their work last year. Similarly, they followed the same routine and highlighted how these popular entertainers around the world had a positive impact.

Last year, famous figures who received the honor by the outlet, mentioned this year's honorees in a note in return. One of the actresses, America Ferrera mentioned Gomez's work in a short note that included her ventures in beauty, television, music, and the social issues she advocated for such as immigrant rights.

The 28-year-old singer supported Living Undocumented as an executive producer, which is a documentary available on Netflix. "Selena Gomez is unabashedly spreading her wings and influence into whatever lane her passions lead her. She has always been a great musician, but she’s also always been more than her music," the How to Train Your Dragon star praised Gomez.

The 36-year-old actress further noted that Gomez has been utilizing her fame and popularity courageously by revealing her concerns on social media along with other global platforms. Ferrera said that the Disney star is an "emblematic" for the new generation that rejected the idea of following anyone paths such as activists or artists.

On the other hand, Taraji P. Henson wrote about Stallion and praised her for not compromising on anything to follow her passion. The 50-year-old actress went on to praised the WAP star and noted her Hot Girl Summer that became viral and made her a "platinum-selling artist" is not all that Stallion has got. In fact, she is a complete entertainer, enrolled in a college, and a deep person.

Henson revealed that the music industry might push her towards a pigeonhole for being a rapper but the 25-year-old singer and songwriter has bigger plans. Besides the entertainment industry, there are influential people such as Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Naomi Osaka, and Dr. Anthony Fauci along with founders of Black Lives Matter, Opal Tometi, Alicia Garza, and Patrisse Cullors.
