As far Tom Cruise’s appearance is concerned, the Hollywood heartthrob looks the same as he looked three decades ago. A certain former Mission Impossible co-star of his revealed that she did not quite like the way Cruise kissed her on-screen.

Cruise is undoubtedly the heartthrob of millions of his fans. While he might have aged, his looks have not changed much since he starred in Risky Business. He is acknowledged as one of the most successful actors in Hollywood.

Even though his fans swear by him, there are some facets, which many just do not seem to digest well. A co-star of his, for instance, confessed that she felt uncomfortable while working with the Top Gun star.

Cruise’s passion for the Church of Scientology has been slammed by his detractors in the past. The actor is a devout Scientologist and some of his beliefs have not been perceived well. For instance, his former wife Katie Holmes, and he went through a stringent Scientology protocol during their daughter Suri Cruise’s birth.

However, when he started speaking about how he felt about mental health, many of his fans deserted him. The actor went on record to declare on TV that he thought using antidepressants is nonessential.

He even criticized Brooke Shields for using antidepressants to handle her postpartum depression. The actress was quick to defend herself and her comments came as a breath of fresh air for many people who were going through mental illness.

While Tom Cruise can be an affable person if necessary, his darker side has been exposed from time to time. His views on antidepressants disappointed many of his fans.

Meanwhile, Thandie Newton, a former Mission Impossible co-star of the star mentioned that she saw a similar side of Cruise while filming together. She confessed to being afraid of the actor as he was a dominating person.

The actress felt while Cruise tried hard to portray the image of a nice person, he often succumbs to pressure. While Newton does not nurture any ill filling towards the Mission Impossible star, she feels the actor terrorized her and made her insecure on set from time to time, Showbiz Cheat Sheet reports.

However, Newton also detested their on-screen kiss. She felt kissing the actor in the film was kind of “wet” and “icky”, Elle.com reports. She does not feel that Cruise should be blamed or that bad kiss though.

The actress mentioned because of the way kisses appear in films, it is more about the right kind of positioning rather than kissing nicely. She feels on-screen kisses are “clinical.”

It is not that Thandie Newton only hated Tom Cruise’s kiss. While no other actresses have had issues about kissing the actor, Newton has had complaints about kissing some of her other co-stars too. It is likely that she is not quite fond of on-screen kissing.
