Undoubtedly, Jimmy Kimmel is among some of the most prolific and watchable presenters in the industry.  The Jimmy Kimmel Show is a testament – and in case one wants more from his strong resume, the 2017 Academy Award ceremony is good to vouch for his skills as a host. But the beloved TV host hasn’t yet faced the toughest of his challenges – and it’s right around in the corner in the form of virtual Emmy Awards.

The host has just come out of his career-first hiatus in summer. Is he prepared for the challenges the entertainment industry is facing in the pandemic era? The 72nd Emmy Awards will be virtual, and by now, the world is well apprised of how boring and mundane virtual shows could be, thanks to coronavirus.

Technology is in place to make up for the lack of in-person touch – high-quality wi-fi cameras will be beamed into the houses of all the nominees who will the gracing the event.

Jimmy Kimmel will host the show from Staples Center located in Los Angeles. The event will not have the audience to hoot and make the celebratory noise.

Given no audience, no stage, and no award show typical hijinks between celebrities, the upcoming Emmy event is all but destined to collapse into meh kind of show. Therefore, the question that everybody has in mind is why anybody would want to host a show that is potentially going to fail. As a matter of fact, when Kimmel said yes to host the show he didn’t know how it would be. He was proposed to host before the pandemic hit and the event was initially planned to be just like one of those good old Emmy award shows.

When asked if Kimmel has some game plan for the difficult show, the host said, “Nothing, really. I mean, honestly, nothing. If something happens technically, I will be touching upon all the skills I’ve acquired over the course of my life. I know one magic trick. I can kind of juggle.”

Despite all the fears lurking about failure, JK seems certain he can manage to make something out of it – but he is still not sure how he is going to pull this tough task off. The host said it’s not like he is flying a jet, it’s just a television show that he has got to host and it’ll be alright whatever happens.

The show will air on Sept. 20, all eyes of what's coming.
