Selena Gomez got a new tattoo, and it is a tribute to her new album, Rare. Gomez had the word "Rare" tattooed to her neck, and she showed it off to her 166 million followers on Instagram. Then, she appealed to them to help her get Rare on top of the Billboard charts.

While promoting Rare in New York City, Selena visited the famous tattoo shop in the city, Bang Bang Tattoo, to get new ink. On Instagram, she shared a video and a photo of her new tattoo just below her right ear.

This only shows how her new LP means a lot for the singer. Gomez earlier said in her interviews that she knew for years that her next album after Revival in 2015, will be named, Rare.

She has been very vocal about how much this album means to her. The "Lose You To Love Me" singer said Rare is all about her inner thoughts, moving on from a toxic relationship, and finding herself again.

Since the album was dropped on January 10, Selena has been on a press tour to promote it as well as Robert Downey Jr.'s movie, Dolittle. The singer voiced Betsy, a friendly giraffe, in the movie. So far, she hasn't announced a concert tour for Rare, but her fans are expecting that the songstress will be making an announcement soon.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez candidly appealed to her fans to get Rare on top of the Billboard charts. On her Instagram Story, the singer admitted that her third studio album is in a close race with other artists on the charts.

Selena said Rare is very personal to her and it would mean the world to her if it would debut at No.1 on the Billboard charts. She then asked her fans to stream the album as much as they can.

The singer also showed that she could go to great lengths to make sure that her album gets to the top of the charts. Gomez gave her Selenators a sneak peek on what she and her friends have been doing to buy Rare in bulk in several stores.

Selena's album is up against Roddy Ricch's Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial for the Billboard 200 Chart next week. However, in his recent Twitter post, even Ricch said he is streaming Selena's new album.

Selena is expected to compete with Eminem and Mac Miller too. The "Read Slim Shaddy" singer dropped a surprise album, Music to be Murdered By, on Friday. Eminem's new full-length album features guest appearances from the late Juice WRLD. Miller, on the other hand, also released his new album Circles on January 17.
