Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie donated generously to a couple of boys who are raising funds for the well-being of kids in Yemen. She had earlier written a moving letter to all parents amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The boys could raise a handsome fund of $67,000 by selling lemonades in the United Kingdom. Jolie responded to the appeal and contributed to help the children in Yemen. The country is not only suffering from a humanitarian crisis but also severe malnutrition and healthcare problems.

The boys decided to put up a stand for lemonade just outside their house. A card on the stand mentioned that the lemonade was being served for helping the Yemenis children. Soon, their initiative grabbed attention and the news was even included on BBC News.

Angie has a self-commitment to serve kids all over the world. The Salt actress immediately made a big donation to this fundraiser as soon as she got the news, Ilford Recorder reports.

Angelina Jolie also sent a touching personal note to these two boys. She thanked them for this excellent initiative. She also apologized for not being able to purchase lemonade from their stand. However, she wrote she would still love to contribute to their stand.

The mom of Ayaan Moosa, one of the boys, shared the kids’ responses when they got Jolie’s donation and note. According to Adeela Moosa, the boys were unaware of the Maleficent actress. So they were expressionless and blank even after getting the donation from her.

These two boys had initially planned to raise a fund of $100 while opening their lemonade stand on July 5, 2020. The duo even called their batch mates to support them. However, they collected an amount of $6,482 on the first day after their initiative went viral.

Since then, the duo has raised as much as $67,000 through their Yemen Crisis Appeal, the now-famous lemonade stand, and Jolie’s handsome donation.

In April this year, the actress penned an emotional note to all mothers and fathers. She wrote because she understands the challenges of being parents during the COVID-19 lockdown. Jolie wrote this letter while being the contributing editor of TIME and while editing one of its special editions.

The actress mentioned in her letter that parents should not take the pain to become perfect. She thinks that kids lookout for honesty in their parents rather than perfection.

Meanwhile, a source told a magazine that Angelina Jolie’s interests have always been the same. She is determined to protect her family’s health and do what is best for her six children.
