The threat of Asahi Saiba continues in Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 11. The episode is titled The Taste of Failure.

In Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 10, Megumi Todokoro and Yukihira Soma are confused about Erina Nakiri taking Asahi’s side.

Soma notes that Erina is acting strange lately. Meanwhile, Erina is aware that she is having strange thoughts lately. She accepts the fact that a part of her wants Soma to lose the competition.

Meanwhile, Asahi thanks his team for opening the backdoor to get into Totsuki. He commends his team for a thorough research about the Nakiri family.

Asahi announces that his plan to marry the ultimate woman, the possessor of the God Tongue, is in place.

God Tongue is a marvel and it is a special trait that appears in members of the Nakiri family now and then. And the only time it has inherited two times in a row is with Nakiri Mana and her daughter Nakiri Erina.

Asahi knows that the presence of the God Tongue is a blessed event for the gourmet world.

In the meantime, Erina tells Soma and Todokoro about how her mother left Nakihi household. Erina is told that her mother Mana possesses a special talent and she needs to leave food behind for a while as she needs to some time to heal.

However, her mother never returned home. It is quite ironic that the God Tongue is the pride of the family but at the same time, an unwanted presence. Meanwhile, Asahi assures that his Crossed Knives can free them from that fate.

It will be interesting to see what Asahi has in store for Totsuki Academy in the forthcoming episodes of the series.

Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma Season 5, Episode 11 is scheduled to broadcast Friday, Sept. 11, 2020. The episodes are available online for streaming on Crunchyroll.
