Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just inked a multiyear deal with Netflix.

However, not all Britons are excited to watch the shows that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will produce.

In a recent YouGov survey, 2,713 Britons were asked how interested they are to watch the Sussexes’ shows. Sixty-four percent of the respondents said that they are not interested at all.

Twenty percent said that they were not very interested and only three percent said that they were very interested. Nine percent of the respondents said that they are fairly interested.

Younger respondents between the ages of 18 and 24 expressed more interest in watching Prince Harry and Markle’s shows compared to respondents aged between 25 and 49.

Following the announcement regarding their latest partnership, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement via The New York Times.

“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us. Netflix’s unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action,” they said.

Meanwhile, some critics of Markle and Prince Harry claimed that they will be canceling their subscription on Netflix now that the couple is part of the streaming site.

One person also said that there are several other streaming platforms out there so they don’t need to tune in to Netflix.

“Thank God I never subscribed to NETFLIX - means I don't have to cancel my subscription in view of this so-called mega-deal with 'woke' & irritating Just Harry & MeAgain,” another critic wrote.

Despite the criticisms, Netflix co-chief executive and chief content officer Ted Sarandos said that they are incredibly proud that Prince Harry and Markle chose the streaming platform.

“We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere,” he said.

Before the announcement, there were claims that Prince Harry and Markle were quietly scouting for a network or a streaming site. They, reportedly, spoke with the heads of Disney and NBC Universal for possible partnerships in the future.

But at the end of the day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ultimately chose Netflix among all the other networks and platforms.
