Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently signed a huge deal with Netflix.

According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have agreed to produce inspirational shows for their fans. The multimillion-dollar deal wouldn’t, reportedly, be the only project that Prince Harry and Markle will have in Hollywood.

According to Woman’s Day, Markle has also been using her connections in Hollywood to produce and star in her own reality TV show. However, she’s having problems getting Prince Harry on board.

“They’ve been meeting with studio head honchos in LA, and they’ve been on the NBC lot. Meghan has contacts there from her Suits days. I imagine she knows exactly what she wants to do, but the big production companies know what fans want – a lot of looks at Meghan and Harry and their lives, to make it as close to reality TV as they can without the couple balking,” the source said.

The insider said that everyone at the studio knows that no one would want to watch Prince Harry and Markle in a show where they’re touting the causes that are close to their hearts.

And the only way for royal fans to watch Prince Harry and Markle is if their show will have a personal element to it.

“Meghan for one will be easy to convince,” the source said.

However, the same cannot be said about Prince Harry. Archie’s dad has been fighting for his family’s privacy after he and Markle tied the knot. As such, the Duke of Sussex isn’t keen to star in a reality TV show with his wife.

This week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement expressing their excitement over their deal with Netflix. However, the couple didn’t say anything about starring in their own reality TV show.

As such, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt.

“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us. [Netflix’s] unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action,” they said.

Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-chief executive and chief content officer, also welcomed the Sussexes to the Netflix family.

“We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere,” he said.
