The most recent deal the Sussex’s has struck with Netflix is probably one of the biggest pay off in the history of Hollywood. The Netflix deal between the royals has been all over the news as it is said that the couple signed the contract for a whopping eight to nine-figure deal.

Netflix has a history of signing producer’s multi-year contracts and giving them high numbers as a fee for their deal.

Shonda Rhimes, creator of many award-winning TV shows was said to have signed a five-year contract with Netflix for 150 million dollars. One of the biggest payout in Hollywood history as well.

Glee creator, Ryan Murphy also signed a deal with Netflix, and the payout was said to be 300 million dollars. So it is no question that the streaming giant who has signed Harry and Meghan exclusively on their platform will pay hundreds of millions to them as well.

According to a tweet posted by Jonathan Shalit, PR Guru, the Sussex’s may have signed a contract that is somewhere between 50 million dollars to a 100 million dollars, and the bonuses will be huge as well.

"Wow ..... I estimate Harry and Meghan will have a signing fee of between $50 and $100 million and with bonuses, they could earn $250 Million plus - this is a massive historical deal - scale like no other”, Mr. Shalit tweeted.

Harry and Meghan are said to be planning to produce numerous TV shows, children's programs, and documentaries. Their production company’s name is yet to be announced.

The historical deal is a first, as there has never been in any history of television that two royals are in a full-ride deal with a company in Hollywood.

But many believe that the couple has no experience when it comes to producing shows, and multiple critics have called out the couple for their deal with Netflix. According to a poll done by the news website, Express.co.uk, asking their readers if they will watch the produce shows of the Sussex’s, over 95 percent of their poll participants voted no and only five percent said they are interested.

The fame of the couple in America is steadily rising but in Britain, the couple is hated by many British taxpayers. The two are still embroidered in the Frogmore cottage scandal.

Harry and Meghan also recently purchased a $14.7 million house in Santa Barbara, California, which only increased the dismay of the British people as they have yet to return the money they used to refurbish the Frogmore cottage.
