In the past few days, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines when they continue to do their face to face engagements. On the late Princess Diana’s 23rd death anniversary, the royal couple attended a small gardening project in a low-income school situated in Los Angeles.

Although the couple’s purpose in visiting the Assistance League Preschool Learning Center was to spread awareness on the environment and healthy living, their appearance backfired on them.

It has been reported that multiple parents of the school children were angry at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their actions. Many took to social media to complain about the unfair and unjust exception the Sussex’ were allowed to have.

Parents were saying that the couple was allowed inside the school grounds for a visit and even a photoshoot but the parents can’t even go inside to drop off their kids.

“I could not even hold my daughter’s hand and take her into school last week when she started kindergarten. These two just 'turn up and break the rules' whenever they feel like it?", Jill Harris, one of the parents of the school children in attendance that day wrote on her Twitter account.

Other parents also voiced out their displeasure on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Many believe that their actions were just a massive publicity stunt, with news being released that the couple brought their favorite photographer during the project.

Fans of Harry and Meghan Markle came to the couple’s aide by stating that their actions are to be praised and that the couple took the necessary precautions during their visit.

Photos of the couple released showed Harry and Meghan sporting masks all throughout the gardening project. The couple and the children planted ‘Forget-me-nots’ flower, a favorite of Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, this was also the ode of the couple to the people’s princess.

Other than gardening and teaching the kids the importance of health and nature, the couple also sat down with them and read books to them and played nursery rhymes.

The couple has been hugely popular in America, as they ground their roots in California. They have appeared in numerous virtual engagements while raising awareness on topics both close to the Couple’s heart.

The Duke and Duchess have also gathered heavy criticisms for their recent actions but it has been known that the couple is unfazed and continuing their journey after quitting their royal duties.
