Meghan Markle, allegedly, became enraged after she found out that Kate Middleton and Prince William could dictate her son Archie’s future.

Last week, Daily Mail published a report on the royal family saying that since Archie is seventh in line to the throne, he would have to ask permission from the reigning monarch before he could tie the knot.

When the time comes, Archie might have to ask permission from Prince Charles or Prince William because they are the future kings of Britain.

According to New Idea, Markle became livid when she heard about the story because she tried so hard to keep Archie away from the royal family. But when he gets older, he would still be linked to them no matter what.

“She thought she’d pulled off the escape of the century, whisking Harry and Archie away from the palace vipers and giving them the freedom they’d never have had otherwise. She underestimated centuries of protocol and tradition. She hates the idea that Archie’s future could sit in William’s hands, given how fraught things are between him and Harry – and how she and Kate have never got on, most of which is her own doing,” the source said.

The insider also said that Markle doesn’t want the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to get their revenge on her and Prince Harry through their son.

As such, the Duchess of Sussex is, allegedly, planning to have a showdown with Middleton when she returns to the United Kingdom. The Duchess of Cambridge, allegedly, knows that Markle wants to talk to her, and she was initially on board with the plans. However, she, allegedly, had a sudden change of heart.

“Kate knew it was directed at her, and even worse, directed at the queen and the monarchy in general. Kate knows Meghan wants to see her soon and was planning to go into it with an open mind, but when comments like that are deliberately aired, it makes it very hard for Kate,” the source said.

Meanwhile, there are also claims that the queen and the Cambridges are furious at the Sussexes for using Windsor as part of their foundation’s name.

Since the Sussexes weren’t allowed to use the word “royal” in their foundation’s name, they, allegedly, got personal by using the queen’s surname instead. Markle also, allegedly, made sure that her surname would appear first in their foundation’s name.
