Even though the 2020 remake of ‘Mulan’ doesn’t reprise Eddie Murphy’s role as Mushu, worry not, because Christina Aguilera has filled in!

Shortly two weeks after the 39-year-old diva graces the music video of ‘Loyal Brave True’ and sings it, she reimagined the song ‘Reflection,’ which was recorded by her for its first and animated version of the film in 1998.

As per Hollywood Life, the new version id “epic,” despite only a reimagined version. Aguilera was only 22 years old when she first sang the song, and the latest version of it still has the same taste but in a more fully-pledged way. Since her ‘Mulan’ stunt in 1998, the singer grew as a singer, resulting in her voice becoming more powerful. Having that said, the new version displays her full-strength as a vocalist and good storyteller.

Fans of the singer and the said Disney film stormed over the music video’s comments section on Youtube, where on fan commented that only Aguilera could improve herself.

Another account said, “What a beautiful moment, the video, the new vocals, the new melody… it’s like epic. This woman came on this world for shining. We don’t deserve you Xtina.”

While one fan wrote that the only eligible person who can surpass the 1998 version of the song is none other than Aguilera herself, the fan added that the singer is a living legend, making her cry and reminisce while listening it.

‘Reflection’ holds a special place in the ‘Lady Marmalade’ singer though it was performed in the film by Broadway diva Lea Salonga. At that time of the first movie of ‘Mulan,’ Aguilera is the cast of Disney’s ‘The Mickey Mouse Club.’ The diva recorded a pop version of the song that was later on hailed as her first single.

At a young age, the singer finished the 19th spot of Billboard’s Adult Contemporary Chart. The chart-topping track caused multiple projects offering to Aguilera: notably, the RCA provides that led for her to release her debut album under the said recording label. Since then, Aguilera has dominated the global music stage with her record-breaking music.

In February, Aguilera revealed that she is preparing to re-record the Disney song. “I recorded a new ‘Reflection’ and new material for the movie. I’ve been working on that, but this is the original,” she said.

Meanwhile, the live-action adaptation of the Disney hit film’s release in March was halted due to the global pandemic. The matter resulted in the network to debut the movie through Disney+ this coming September 4 for only $29.99.
