Maroon 5 Dropped A Beachside Lyric Video For 'Nobody's Perfect'
Maroon 5 helps us cling to the final days of summer with the colorful and beachy lyric video for their new song, "Nobody's Love."
The visual employs the same color-changing aesthetic of the single's cover art, with calming scenes of waves crashing against the coastline, and the lyrics washing away on the shore for a calming beauty with warm color appropriate for the sweltering seasonal weather.
The entire idea of perfecting the song was done with the whole world in mind. Adam Levine posted on his Instagram the day before the pop-rock band released the song in late July, hoping that "Nobody's Love" is a song that can give everyone peace and thought during this unprecedented moment in our world's story.
"Whether you are front liners, an outspoken citizen, or just someone who needs a break to remember the power of love, this song is dedicated to everyone. We hope you love it!!!" Adam wrote.
The lyric video is a study of being all alone in a big city. He's the only guy appearing in the clip, shot in Los Angeles by David Dobkin, the filmmaker behind Maroon 5's promos for "Sugar," "Girls Like You," and "Memories."
Maroon 5 performed their new single on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last Aug. 10.
The iconic band "Nobody's Love" joins the Top 20 At Pop Radio, together with Taylor Swift's "Cardigan" and the later Juice WRLD & Marshmello's "Come & Go." Moreover, the song grabs the seventeenth spot on this week's Radio Airplay Charts. It repeats as the format's top airplay gainer.
"Nobody's Love" is the follow-up to the teary "Memories," the lead single from their forthcoming seventh studio album. "Memories" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard and made history atop Billboard's Adult Pop Songs radio airplay radio chart.
M5 announced new routing for their planned 2021 North American tour, which was pushed back due to the pandemic. It is now locked-in to start last July 15 at the Island Credit Union Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California. The rescheduled trek will include dates at New York City's Madison Square Garden and Boston's Fenway Park.
Maroon 5 was one of the numerous artists who were forced to cancel their 2020 tour dates as the coronavirus spread. The group announced on July 13, the official 2021 dates.
Tickets and LaneOne Premium Packages purchased for the band's 2020 tour will still be honored for the new dates. They promise that all tickets will remain valid and will be honored once new dates are rescheduled. All dates are being rescheduled for the summer of 2021.
