Lady Gaga, without a doubt, is considered as one of the most promising singers and actresses of her generation. Aside from her chart-topping hits, the 34-year-old American artist, also, starred in movies and television shows such as A Star is Born and American Horror Story among others. However, along with her popularity are the never-ending rumors and speculations plaguing her personal life.

Life and Style, in its upcoming Aug. 31, 2020 issue, reported that Lady Gaga’s mental health battle is, actually, worse than anyone knows. The entertainment news publication quoted the “Shallow” singer saying that she cannot control the things that her brain does so she has to undergo medication to stop it.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, as per the tabloid, Lady Gaga shared that she is on an antipsychotic medication called olanzapine. This, according to the report, is used to treat bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. “I know I have mental issues and I know that they can sometimes render me nonfunctional as a human,” the “Rain on Me” singer said.

Lady Gaga previously revealed Life & Style that she grappled with self-harm, negative thoughts, drugs, and heavy drinking. Though she considered her vices as ways to express her feeling of being not good enough, the “Paparazzi” singer said it made her feel worse. She added that she decided to stop smoking and “flirted with sobriety” while she was working on her Chromatica album.

The ladylove of Michael Polansky, then, hopes her avid followers would not only go on her journey but also go through their own journey in life and dance through all their pains. “The way Gaga sees it, if talking about her experience with mental illness can help one person, it’s worth it,” an unnamed source told the magazine.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga shared she was preparing a special meal for someone she loves recently. The “Poker Face” hitmaker shared a snap of her wearing a vibrant makeup for a casual dinner at home. While enjoying a break from cooking, the songstress took some selfies while rocking a gorgeous blue and purple eye look. Check the photo here.

Harper’s Bazaar reported that Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande will have a headlining performance at the upcoming 2020 MTV Video Music Awards next weekend. They are said to perform their hit track titled “Rain on Me.”
