Meghan Markle has found herself again in the midst of another scandal as she starts her career in Hollywood. In the recent political climate today, it is hard for a famous person to speak about their take on politics without gathering any criticisms. This includes the Duchess of Sussex.

During a video engagement for ‘When All Women Vote’ Meghan was heard to have said some words that reflected the political climate in the US today.

Piers Morgan, a controversial commentator, and talk show host belted his opinion on Meghan’s intervention. Mr. Morgan believes that the Duchess should be stripped off of her royal title as well as her husband, Prince Harry.

“The Queen must strip the Sussexes of their titles. They can’t remain as royals & spout off about foreign elections in such a brazenly partisan way,” Mr. Morgan said.

During the virtual engagement, Meghan also talked about other issues, such as voting turn out. She encouraged women to vote on election day and commented that not voting means being complicit.

Piers's comments have gathered great outrage from many Meghan supporters, they believe that Mr. Morgan is trying to suppress women's empowerment by bringing down Meghan’s call for women to vote.

As a Royal code, monarchs are not supposed to take sides when it comes to politics. They are known to remain neutral in all aspects of politics but in Meghan’s case, the Duchess is a US citizen and the protocols are not as clear for Meghan Markle than it is for other women in the Royal family.

Both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped down from their Royal duties and have laid down there roots in America. They promised to split their time between the US and the UK but currently due to the pandemic they have not yet gone back to the UK.

Despite their decision to no longer pursue their life as senior royals, Prince Harry and Meghan are working with many charities and doing multiple virtual engagements.

The couple is also rumored to be pursuing a Hollywood life as many sources have claimed that the two are pitching ideas to bug Hollywood executives. They recently bought a new house in Santa Barbara, California that cost the couple $14.7 million.

The US election will be held on November, a mere 75 days from now with Joe Biden as the Democrat Presidential Ticket and Donald Trump as the Republican one.
