Popular television host Wendy Williams said Meghan "weaseled" her way out into the kingdom. This is Harry's first experience of what could be in the offing in his new hometown.

Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry moved to Los Angeles after leaving Canada before it implemented the travel ban. The couple attributed their decision to step down as the royal family's senior members and leave the United Kingdom to avoiding unwanted media attention, or at least that's what they want us to believe.

According to CCN's contributor Aubrey Hansen both Meghan, as well as Prince Harry is seeking media attention. They are not trying to steer clear of it, Hansen says, pointing out that the couple announced their latest project at the time when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been shifted in the ICU with the COVID-19 symptoms.

Moreover, they didn't opt to postpone their announcement despite knowing that the royal family is combating the crisis. The British media ridiculed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for that antic, but they are likely to face worse criticism in the United States.

Self-proclaimed “shock jockette,” Wendy Williams is a popular American TV host. In an interview with The Sun about the Meghan Markle, Williams said she believed Meghan manipulated everybody and weaseled her way into the royal family when she married Harry, Duke of Sussex.

The words coming from an African American lady are harsh indeed, but the rest of the Sussex Squad will not be able to call describe such criticism as racism. It will be interesting to see what happened when the racism deflection method doesn't work anymore, Hanson wrote.

It looks like the British media isn't alone when it comes to having negative opinions about Meghan and her husband, who they now refer to as "Hollywood Harry." Aside from having a noteworthy point which she made from a sizeable platform, Wendy Williams raised a fascinating question as well.

Meghan Markle's relationship with the royal family is usually ignored as something the British media is obsessed over, but things are going to be different in the United States.  The royal family will no longer an institution, allowing the couple to lead their lives as most celebrities.

On the downside, American celebrities, particularly that living in Hollywood are subject to more scrutiny than the royal family does. In short, if Meghan and Harry wanted to escape the media spotlight in the United Kingdom, and moved to the U.S. thinking they would be under less pressure, then they have misjudged.
