Meghan Markle continues to get criticisms and disparagements from her detractors even after she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals in March. To recall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, previously, admitted that they have been very much affected by all the hateful remarks and malicious rumors plaguing them.

Recently, author Matt Haig revealed that he once ignored a call from Meghan in September 2019. The former “Suits” actress, at the time, wanted to inform Haig that she selected one of his works for British Vogue edition.

Haig said he did not expect that Meghan Markle would call him. Though he was aware that he got a phone call from someone working at the said publication, the author divulged he never thought it would be the Duchess on the other end. He added that he was not in the mood to talk at the time.

“I was not in work mode, the last thing I wanted to do was have a serious conversation with a journalist. I just wanted to go in the swimming pool,” Matt Haig said, per Daily Express. He, then, realized the next day that Meghan had been trying to reach him and told himself that he could have, at least, answered one of the many calls.

It can be recalled that Meghan Markle served as a guest editor for the British Vogue last year. The Duchess of Sussex gave the special issue the “Forces for Change” title and featured a number of women activists who made a difference and impact on their chosen fields.

Meghan Markle has yet to comment on Matt Haig’s recent revelation.

Meanwhile, the mother of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, also, had a blog called “The Tig” before she tied the knot with Prince Harry and entered the royal life. The website, according to reports, has recipes and fashion-related content. Meghan even published her interviews with celebrity friends on her blog. She was, also, rumored to be the person behind an anonymous blog titled “The Working Actress,” which ran from 2010 to 2012.

There have been claims that Meghan could consider writing as her new career after her bombshell royal exit. The Sussex pair's unofficial biography even suggested that the Duchess considered becoming a journalist before acting as she "enjoyed writing in school." The book's authors, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, even shared that Prince Harry's better half considered writing as her channel to express her creativity and frustrations.

Speculations have it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been finding ways to earn their own money to support their lavish lifestyle. There were even reports saying that the wife of Prince Harry might consider going back to Hollywood and relaunch her career as an actress. However, avid followers of Meghan Markle should take these unverified claims with a grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
