Melissa Vivian Jefferson, professionally known as Lizzo, has joined forces with American multinational digital streaming company Amazon.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the 32-year-old American singer-songwriter has inked a first-look deal with Amazon Studios held in Zoom. The songstress Zoom-bombed the commencement of Amazon's Television Critics Association's meeting on August 6 (Thursday) to made known her deal. Lizzo's contract includes multiple television projects and shows for Amazon's Prime Video streaming platform.

The announcement is through Amazon Studios' Co-Heads, Albert Cheng and Vernon Sanders. Cheng describes Lizzo as a "force of positivity."

In a joyful statement by the singer, she extends her extreme gratefulness to Amazon's fantastic ream for the opportunity given to her. "Thank you to Jen Salke and the rest of the team for making this dream come true, she said then adding that he couldn’t wait to share his craft to the world.

The kind and thankful words of Lizzo were reciprocated by the head of Amazon Studios, Jenner Salke. She said that Lizzo is among the most creative, exciting, and lighthearted artists in the entertainment industry. Salke added that it is their company's pleasure to welcome and make Lizzo part of their new ventures because of her distinct frame of reference. Amazon's team is looking forward to Lizzo's creative and new ideas that may spark up brand-new Prime Video content that their viewers will surely idolize.

As per Deadline, Lizzo appeared in Jennifer Lopez's film called 'Hustlers' and lent her voice in the animated movie entitled 'Ugly Dolls.' Her future projects with Prime Video will be her first embarkment in the significant television scene.

Lizzo achieved her designated name in the entertainment industry through her breakthrough album's release that sparked up for her 2016 'Good As Hell' album. The album bottles up her major hit tracks' Tempo' and 'Juice.'

Moreover, the Michigan born songstress is a Grammy Awards winner for three times for her 'Good as Hell,' 'Juice,' and 'Truth Hurts.' Her' Cuz I Love You' album is the most responsible piece of her Grammy Awards' success. The said album earned a distinguished platinum certificate.

Lizzo joined the star-studded roster of amazing artists that signed a deal with Amazon namely 'How To Get Away With Murder' star Viola Davis, Fleabag's Sharon Horgan, Brad Pitt, Daniel Dae Kim, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel curators Daniel Palladino and Amy Sherman-Palladino and cast Rachel Brosnahan.
