The American rock all-men group, Linkin Park, has been on hiatus since their concert in 2017 commemorating the life of their band’s co-vocalist, Chester Bennington. However, it seems like the rock icons are awakening from their deep slumber as the 20th anniversary of their flared-up album, ‘Hybrid Theory.’

In a 97 Rock Online, despite Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park’s other vocalist, silence about the matter, Kerrang! managed to make the singer blurt some details of their anniversary plans. The 43-year-old singer said that the band is currently talking about ‘Hybrid Theory’s’ 20th year.

In particular, Shinoda and the band keep on questioning themselves, helpful questions like how their fans will react to their celebration or what will people think they are going to do. From those questions, Linkin Park curates a theatrical show for their fans, who helped them to be where they are right now.

The speculations started in social media when the avid fans of the band threw various questions about the matter, some even helped by giving out some excellent and wise ideas.

“I would urge the fanbase just to let it happen. The Linkin Park fanbase is always one of the most creative and active fanbases out there,” Shinoda said.

He then added that at the time being, the only thing that is hindering him from spilling the news is the management. Linkin Park would like to keep it a secret because they wanted it to be a surprise, and they don’t want to cause the fans to speculate. The statement concluded with Shinoda cheekily said that sometimes the fans have much better ideas than they plan to do.

The 20th year of ‘Hybrid Theory’ is a celebration for its debut on October 4, 2000. The appearance was one of biggest at that time, which led the band to release another album in the form of a remix in 2002 entitled ‘Reanimation.’ The remixed album bottles up various tracks, including several songs from ‘Hybrid Theory.’

‘Hybrid Theory’ is responsible for the band’s original hit songs like Grammy Awards winning song ‘Crawling,’ all-time hit ‘In The End,’ ‘One Step Closer,’ and ‘Papercut,’ N.M.E. reported. The said album skyrocketed its way up to the second rank on the Billboard 2000 Album chart and awarded platinum certifications by the R.I.A.A.

While the band is in full hiatus for years now, Shinoda dropped the ‘Post Traumatic’ mini-album, followed by a studio album release of the same name.
