The ‘There You Are’ singer, Zayn Malik, 27, stormed Instagram as he shared a selfie photo in over a month. The post is dated July 30 (Thursday), showing Zayn in a close up pose with tears about to drop on his tantalizing eyes.

Billboard finds the former One Direction member to be wearing a black eyeliner, which made his 34.6 million followers question what the singer has been up to. However, the questioning was abruptly stopped by a fan saying Zayn is not wearing makeup, but rather a commemoration of his religion’s culture.

In the name twoghostssitting, the fan says that what Zayn has in his under eyes is a “Surma,” an essential for Muslims to apply on their face during Eid al-Adha. The fan also added that “Surma” is, by any chance is not considered a makeup.

The fan’s tweet is in response to CapitalFM’s article entitled “Zayn Malik breaks social media silence with eyeliner selfie,” shared by the radio station on their official Twitter account.

According to Metro News U.K., Zayn’s selfie photo now smashed up over two million likes in just a few minutes, clearly explaining the fan’s delight of their idol’s Instagram return. The post is caption and contentless, but the fans are unstoppable, making their way to the comments section to express their exceeding joy.

One fan commented, “WOW WELCOME BACK.’

Another Instagram user wrote, “thanks for making my eid more enjoyable,” with a crying emoji on the side.

But one comment that caught Entertainment Times’ eye is from Youtuber and ballet dance, Nathan Triska. He wrote, “eat me.”

Zayn’s selfie post follows his former band’s 10th anniversary since their formation in ‘X Factor U.K.’ With Harry, Liam, Niall, and Louis posting tribute and essential messages of the band’s milestone, Zayn seems to become inexistent about the matter.

Zayn has been very occupied for the last few months, as he is nearing to be a father to his first bundle of joy with supermodel Gigi Hadid. The pregnancy was confirmed by Gigi on Jimmy Fallon guesting following a commotion started by the fans regarding the news.

The ‘Pillowtalk’ singer stayed with Gigi’s family in Pennsylvania for quarantine, but the couple recently moved into the supermodel’s newly renovated New York City luxury apartment. In a previous report, the new flat of the duo will be the home they chose where their first child will be raised.
