One of the most popular and successful crime series, Money Heist has been ruling the Netflix catalog since its inception. However, as per the latest announcement by Netflix, the series will be wrapped up as the season 5 comes to the conclusion.

Netflix took to Instagram  posting a picture of the famous broken Salvador Dalí's broken face  mask to announce the conclusion – captioning, ‘part 5: the heist comes to an end.’

The series expanded its appeal in the season 3 with an international approach to its setting, high-quality VFX, and enhanced action sequences.  Thanks to the intriguing plot and extraordinary execution, Money Heist is the most-watched non-English Netflix series having a tremendous fanbase in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Money Heist season 5 is set to be a 10-episode season, two more than the last two seasons. The series showrunner, Álex Pina discussed the fifth and final season in detail saying,  “We have spent almost a year thinking about how to destroy the band. How to put the Professor on the ropes? How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters? The result is the fifth season of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”

Considering what Pina has stated, it is all but certain that fans are going to be dumbfounded. A derivative of Pina’s statement could be: The conclusion of Money Heist will be a blast bigger than the previous seasons because the crime will reach its pinnacle and drama won't have limits.

The shooting of season 5 will take place across the different locations of Spain, Denmark, and Portugal. The addition to beautiful locations, the star cast is also pretty power-packed – starring Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Patrick Criado,  Álvaro Morte, Pedro Alonso, and Itziar Ituño among many more talented actors.

Jesús Colmenar is the executive producer with Pina and Cristina López Ferraz running their course of Money Heist as showrunner and director of production respectively.

Due to the pandemic, the date of release has not been announced yet but the production is scheduled to start from Monday, Aug. 3.

The upcoming season is a huge package with more episodes and this is exactly what drama-nuts were expecting after a tremendous set of seasons. The farewell to an ideal series deserves to be special and makers at Netflix are definitely trying to achieve that with a remarkable enhancement in the drama.
