Sean Hannity said that former President Barack Obama's funeral eulogy for the late Congressman John Lewis was a politically driven, divisive, and at times even mean-spirited speech that was teeming with misleading remarks and fallacy. In his speech, Obama recalled the famed efforts of Lewis as a leader of the civil rights movement while delivering a political call to action.

At one point, Obama mentioned George Floyd's death at the hands of a white Minneapolis police officer, the Trump administration sending in federal agents to quell the nation-wide protests and the challenges associated with mail-in voting during the impending election. The former president referenced George Wallace, saying although the former Governor of Alabama is gone, the federal government is sending agents to use batons and tear gas against those peacefully demanding racial justice, Fox News reported.

Hannity played video clips showing protestors attacking law enforcement officers in Seattle and Portland and asked if Obama was referring to them as peaceful protesters. During his speech, Obama noted that while the people of America no longer need to guess the number of jellybeans in a jar to cast a ballot, there are still some people in power who continue to do discourage people from voting.

The former president went on to accuse those in the power of closing polling locations, targetting students and minorities with restrictive ID laws, and attacking the voting rights of Americans. In addition to that, Obama said they continue to undermine the Postal Service in a countdown to an election that is going to be dependent on mail-in ballots to ensure people do not contract COVID-19.

Hannity explains that Obama said several things that aren't factually accurate in a bid to trash Trump and his supporters. He said Democratic Party divide the country into old versus young, rich versus poor, and play their race card.

The Fox News commentator urged him over 4 million viewers to deviate their attention at the Upper West Side, particularly highlighting the situation at The Lucerne Hotel on 79th street, which serves as home to 283 homeless men. He talked about drug addicts in the Upper East Side neighborhood, adding that things are so bad that a four-star hotel had to be transformed into a homeless shelter for drug addicts, West Side Rag reported.

A Fox News reporter investigated the homeless situation that he found, according to Hannity, that could shock the conscience of people. Local residents who were interviewed by the reporter had mixed feelings about the recently transformed shelter, with some saying that they were nervous about safety and wished they had been consulted.
