Fans looking for more work from Beyoncé probably don’t have to wait for much longer as the music superstar’s latest project, Black Is King, recently launched a new trailer as it prepares to launch on streaming service Disney+.

Billboard reports that the new trailer for the visual album was released over the weekend and has Beyoncé herself providing the narration. In the trailer, the singer calls a boy floating in space as “unique and familiar” before finally revealing that she herself is carrying that boy.

Beyoncé then warns the boy of the danger that lies ahead of him, about how he might be led astray if he does not step up and become a leader. Beyoncé also called on the boy to follow their light or risk having it extinguished.

Featured in the trailer are celebrities like Lupita Nyong'o, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Kelly Rowland, Pharell, Jay-Z, and more.

Entertainment Weekly notes that Beyoncé opened up about the project on her Instagram page late in June. In the post, the songstress explained how Black Is King was supposed to be a continuation of her work on The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack, but the killing of George Floyd and the protests it sparked changed it into something bigger.

Beyoncé said Black Is King has now become a way for her to take part in Black people telling their own stories and inspire change. The singer specified that she wanted Black Is King to have African traditions and Black history, but tweaked to reflect modern times and to carry a universal message.

Black Is King was first announced last month and was described as a visual album that would feature and honor the stories of Black families across time but also tell the story of a young king who experiences self-identity, betrayal, and love.

Before Black Is King, Beyoncé also released Black Parade on Juneteenth, which celebrates the emancipation of the enslaved in the United States. Black Parade is a song empowering Black people and was co-written by Beyoncé with Jay-Z. Proceeds from the song also go to the singer’s BeyGOOD Initiative, which benefits Black-owned small businesses.

Aside from Black Parade, Beyoncé also called for Black empowerment and expressed her support for the Black Lives Matter movement during her speech for YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 event. She also thanked the young people that have risen up and protested the killings of George Floyd, Breona Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and more.
