Per ETonline, Perri revealed that she underwent through a postpartum depression immediately after giving birth to Carmella. With Perri’s ever supportive and impenetrable fans, the singer was able to overcome the dark moment of her life, leaning on to her fans amid the grapple.

Sadly, few years after Carmella’s birth, the 33-year-old singer suffered a miscarriage at eleven weeks, which she confidently shares to everyone. “i am so sad but not ashamed … sad but not discouraged,” Perri wrote. In the post’s end-writing, Perri imparted a hopeful message of trying to bear an offspring in the future despite mourning the loss. Surely, Perri’s words came true!

For starters, Perri gained her spot in the music entertainment industry after debuting her single "Jar of Hearts" that called the attention of hit-television series "So You Think You Can Dance" in 2010 making it as their feature track. Perri then signed with Atlantic Records partnering her ‘The Ocean Way Sessions’ extended play release. In 2011, Perri dropped her first ever studio album "Lovestrong," that gained the certified platinum title by the R.I.A.A. (Recording Industry Association of America). Coming after that, Perri continually released her second extended play "A Very Merry Perri Christmas" in 2012 and her second studio album "Head or Heart" in 2014.

The American singer-songwriter was heard in the last installment of the "The Twilight Saga" film series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" in 2012 where Perri recorded her original composition titled "A Thousand Years." The “love theme song” became a certified four-time platinum record that stormed to airplay charts for months and at the same time garnering sales of over 4 million copies in the U.S.

Over Perri’s success in the music industry, the singer managed to feed her personal life through marrying Costabile in December of 2017. The couple welcomed their first born a month later in January 2018.
