Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman has always been vocal about her love for working with DC and Warner Bros. However, fans are waiting for Jenkins to return with Wonder Woman 1984 in the DC Extended Universe and it seems they have to wait further for Wonder Woman 3 amid coronavirus pandemic.

Jenkins’ Diana Prince released in 2017 that starred Gal Gadot and the sequel, Wonder Woman 1984 was expected to be released initially in December 2019. However, the release was pushed further to June 2020 but little they knew about the upcoming pandemic that led entire business shut including the movie theaters.

This seemed to be just the start of changing the schedule as the new date announced was August 2020 but due to the public health crisis the date was again pushed forward to October 2020. Regardless, the fans are anxious if the date will be pushed again.

Apart from that, there is Wonder Woman 3 which is being considered by Jenkins while the director isn't finalized officially yet. Hollywood productions are majorly held and to start the pre-production of Wonder Woman 3, the resources are not enough during the pandemic.

However, the situation doesn't seem to stop the 48-year-old director from considering how Wonder Woman 3 will take place in the storyline, eventually. She disclosed in an interview that ensuring the next step seems relevant to Diana Prince as it is extremely essential.

Jenkins explained that she had hit the pause button because of the plotline, “where that plotline was coming from was our state of being six months ago. And so I want to make sure that I’m totally absorbing whatever the result of this pandemic is.”

Jenkins seems to be absorbing the new normal before going ahead with the journey of Wonder Woman as she wants the world to reflect around her. She had revealed before that her plan with Wonder Woman is to create four movies, although it is worth noting that she is not on board officially for the project.

However, fans can't expect Wonder Woman to show the ongoing pandemic in the movie directly but the audience can expect the influence of this pandemic in the third installment of the film. Well, when the movie is coming from a compassionate director who made us experience, Diana Prince.

It seems fans wouldn't accept anything less either and that’s why the director had already buckled up even before being signed on the project officially.
