Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise was madly in love with his ex-wife Katie Holmes when they were dating. Cruise almost jumped off a couch on The Oprah Winfrey Show when his then girlfriend’s name popped up.

The Mission Impossible star was called at The Oprah Winfrey Show on May 23, 2005. The actor was dating his ex-wife Holmes then and was head over heels for her. He was extremely excited when his then girlfriend’s name came up on the show.

The Top Gun actor could barely conceal his joy in an adorable clip where he is seen kneeling to express his enthusiasm. The actor jumped on a couch when Winfrey called out The Batman Begins actress’s name on her show.

The crowd went insane in the same clip when the hostess divulges that the Jack Reacher star is in the same building. Tom Cruise wore a black outfit on the show. He was full of energy and the crowd present there seemed to further enhance his confidence level.

Cruise then sat down and began to chat with Oprah Winfrey. The actor could not hide his smile when Winfrey queried him about what was happening to him. The Hollywood hunk gushed that he was in love.

Whenever the hostess was referring to Holmes, Cruise appeared to be happy and could not curtail his enthusiasm. As the clip was about to end, Winfrey revealed that Katie Holmes was also present in that building and requested the actress to come out.

However, Cruise said he would go and bring her and ran to the backstage. He then grabbed Holmes by her shoulders. Finally, he brought her to the stage where Winfrey was waiting for the dashing duo.

The pair were seen walking hand-in-hand as they approached the stage together. Winfrey and Holmes exchanged a warm hug before the actress hugged her then-beau. Katie Holmes even gave him a peck with great affection.

Cruise and Holmes started dating in April 2005. However, they made their relationship formal after the Top Gun star brought her to The Oprah Winfrey Show just a month later, Republic World reports.

Meanwhile, after a series of obstacles and challenges caused due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Cruise reached the United Kingdom on June 7, 2020, before the shooting of Mission Impossible could resume. The actor reached Biggin Hill airport near London just in time before the new quarantine rule of the UK Government was put in place on June 8, 2020.

It was undoubtedly an intelligent move signifying that Tom Cruise could directly proceed to the new set of the blockbuster in rural Oxfordshire, The Sun reports. A source told the publication that it was not an accident that the actor reached there a day earlier.
