It was 15 years ago when Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce from her then-husband Brad Pitt, but fans of the couple are still wondering if the marriage could have been saved. Now there are reports that this might have actually been a possibility!

According to Mirror UK, the split between the power couple was only supposed to be temporary, but something happened along the way and the couple went on their separate ways. It was in January 2005 when Brad and Jen announced their separation, but Jen didn't file for the divorce until late March.

Apparently, just weeks after their separation, the couple was still spotted together. Both were still wearing their respective wedding rings and were even walking while holding hands. People around then at the L'Orangerie restaurant would say that they actually looked happy and were even seen giggling with each other.

Judging from their faces during that time at the restaurant, it looks like the couple really missed each other. There were reports that the couple had tried marriage counseling to save their union, and the date was one of the steps that they took to do so.

Many were hopeful that a reconciliation was imminent. Not only fans but even family members of the couple, including the grandmother of Brad Pitt, Bettie Russell, who insisted that the couple would eventually find their way back to there other.

They even celebrated Jen's birthday that year, but something happened that resulted in the divorce.

During that time, rumors were rampant that the actor cheated on his wife with his co-star and eventual wife, Angelina Jolie, another Hollywood A-lister. On the day that the divorce was filed, Brad was said to be seen with Jolie at the Parker Merdian Hotel, looking intimate.

It was said that while Brad did not cheat on Jen with Angelina, he did fall in love with her, leading to Jennifer throwing her husband out of their house.

The power couple eventually moved on with their lives, finding love with different people. Although both are not single after separating from their partners Angelina Jolie and Justin Theroux, they did find fulfillment in their professional lives.

Jennifer Aniston recently won a Screen Actors Guild Award for 'The Morning Show' while Brad finally won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'. There was even an endearing video of the actor looking on while his former wife won which led to many hoping for a reconciliation between the two.
