Despite being a power couple and one of the most recognizable celebrities in the world, David and Victoria Beckham are not exempted from having disagreements with their neighbors.

According to The Sun, it all has to do with the addition they want to make with their home in Cotswold. Last week it was reported that the couple would like to add an underground tunnel in their estate. This is so that they will be safer inside their homes.

In the event that there would be intruders inside their home, the couple would like that their family would have a way to escape to safety. The proposed underground tunnel would be connected to their garage, allowing them access to their cars.

Aside from the tunnel, they are also asking permission to build gatehouses and security houses. And this is where the neighbors are not happy about. According to one of their neighbors, a John Walsby, the proposed structures are not in keeping with the area as most of the surrounding places are just farms and agricultural buildings.

The bid to make the place safer comes as Tottenham player Dele Alli was held at knifepoint inside his very own home in Hertfordshire last month. While other celebrities are getting guard dogs for added security, the Beckhams want something different for their Cotswold home. The home in Cotswold is not really their main abode. When in the UK, the Beckhams mostly stay in their multi-million house in Holland Park in London.

But due to the coronavirus pandemic, the family has been holed up in their retreat house and it looks like they will be staying there for the time being, given their desire to make additions to the structure.

As reported by The Daily Mail, the couple seems to be enjoying their time at their Cotswold house. Victoria recently shared a photo of her and her husband David enjoying their walk in the estate. While their younger children have been staying with them at the retreat house, eldest sone Brooklyn is staying in Los Angeles.

In fact, Victoria also posted just how proud she is of her son and his girlfriend Nicola Peltz, who participated in the Black Lives Matter movement. They can be seen wearing masks and protesting along with other people. She says that although she missed her eldest, she is proud that he is taking part in a worthy cause.
