The boy who lived has spoken.

The actor who plays Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, had some choice words to say after JK Rowling made some controversial comments about transgender women.

According to CBS News, the actor felt very much compelled to say something of importance. His statement was published on behalf of the Trevor Project, an LGBTQ nonprofit organization. In his piece, Daniel pointed out that transgender women are women. To say they are not, he claims, would just erase their dignity and identity. Not only that, he claims that denying them this would also go against what healthcare professionals have advised.

His piece was in retaliation to the controversial tweets that Harry Potter author JK Rowling made earlier this week. Rowling tweeted some statements that drew the anger of the transgender community. She made a comment on a story about creating a more equal world post-COVID for people who menstruate. Rowling seemed to ridicule the article, clearly wondering who else could those people be than natural-born women. She made a few more statements after than and soon she received hate for being transphobic.

It has gotten so bad that many fans of the series have said that their experience with the whole wizarding world has been marred by Rowling's apparent hate.

This is one of the things that Daniel tried to address in the piece that he wrote. Variety reports that Radcliffe made a special mention to fans of the series. He apologized to any person who feels that their experience with the book has now been marred. He said that he hoped that they would still remember just what made the book valuable for them.

He mentioned the many lessons that can be learned from the series, that love is the strongest force in the universe and that there is unity in diversity.

As of the moment, no other actor from the movies has made statements about the controversy surrounding the author. Rowling herself has not said anything about Daniel's reaction to her statements.

The 30 year-old Radcliffe found fame after playing the titular character that was written by Rowling. He starred in all eight movies. After the series ended, he has starred in other projects since then, including Miracle Workers, which he has been a part of since 2018.

Meanwhile, Rowling has recently released a new children's story online. Entitled The Ickabog, the political fairytale will be released as a published book by November of this year.
