A new off-screen rivalry has ignited in Hollywood following the less-than-stellar critical reception of the latest instalment of the Fast & Furious saga, Fast X. This time, it's franchise veteran Vin Diesel taking issue with newcomer Jason Momoa, whom Diesel accuses of hampering the film's performance.

Released on May 19 by Universal, Fast X, which came with a staggering $340 million price tag, was met with a cold shoulder by critics. Described as “congested,” “convoluted,” and “predictably ridiculous," the movie earned a modest 57 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite this, it managed to garner impressive box office numbers.

Insiders report that Diesel, also the film's producer, is deflecting responsibility for the lukewarm reviews onto Momoa, despite the fact that critics actually commended Momoa's performance. This backlash seems fueled by Diesel's dissatisfaction with Momoa's positive recognition, which he feels overshadows his own contributions to the franchise he helped build.

"Vin is upset that Jason is the only silver lining in the film and is stealing the spotlight from him," says an insider. Furthermore, Diesel accuses Momoa, who was paid a reported $5 million to play villain Dante, of overacting and stealing scenes, actions he claims detracted from the overall quality of the film.

Diesel's criticisms have not fallen on deaf ears, however. Sources say Momoa has been informed of Diesel's accusations, and the rugged actor isn't pleased. "Jason recognizes he's currently in demand, and he believes Vin is envious," an insider shares. "But he won't stand for Vin trying to sway public opinion against him. This could turn into Hollywood's next major feud!"

Vin Diesel is no stranger to feuds within the Fast & Furious franchise. Previously, Diesel clashed with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, leading to Johnson's decision not to appear in four subsequent Fast & Furious films. Diesel had insinuated that he needed to use "tough love" to draw an adequate performance out of Johnson.

Now, Diesel's crosshairs are set on Momoa. Insiders suggest that the former Game of Thrones star's hefty paycheck makes him an easy target for Diesel's frustrations.

An inside source firmly states, "People should not be misled. Fast X was Vin's project, and he should bear the brunt of its failings!"
