Actor Leonardo DiCaprio made an impactful statement on social media on the movement called Black Lives Matter amid the ongoing protests in the United States.

Di Caprio joined the bandwagon to stop racial inequality in America and took to social media to protest against this social injustice. The actor declared his commitment to “listen, learn, and take action.”

He made this crucial statement on social media to make a point in support of the Black Lives Matter Movement amid the ongoing nationwide protests. The Oscar Award-winning actor also requested his fans to join this significant movement and make donations.

He pledged his dedication to stopping the “disenfranchisement of Black America” and mentioned four organizations such as the NAACP and the Fair Fight Initiative where people can send in their donations.

The actor also added he would support all such coalitions, organizations, and persons who are dedicated to effecting long-term change. DiCaprio said he would be making donations to all these four organizations.

The actor is not the only Hollywood celebrity who has been supporting this crucial movement in the country. The movement gained momentum in the United States after the brutal killing of George Floyd.

The 46-year-old passed away last month after a white cop allegedly tortured him despite his repeated request to release him as he was unable to breathe. The concerned police officer has been arrested, as well as, been charged with manslaughter and murder.

His killing led to a world-wide protest against racism and several celebrities have been strongly supporting the movement. Since then, the Black Lives Matter movement has gained momentum across the world, and protesters are fighting against racism.
