If fans think that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are back together just because they are spending more time with each other and their kids these days, they could be wrong. Instead, there's a very valid reason why Disick is choosing some people to spend time with these days, one of whom is his ex.

Disick, 37, spent his Saturday with his family, regardless if he and his ex Kourtney are not back together. After all, there is no reason not to spend time with his kids. However, this does not mean that he and his Kourtney are going back together. It also does not mean that everything is already alright with them or with Scott personally.

According to a source, Scott is still receiving treatments and is still working out his issues. However, for him, he can only do that if he is surrounded by the people he trusts and people who are supportive of him. He has been around the kids a lot. He is only spending time with people who can support him and help him be the best possible," the source explained.

It does not mean that he and Kourtney are back as a couple, which has been the dominant assumption, especially since Disick and his most recent girlfriend, Sofia Richie, just broke up. It is unclear if this is for good or just a cool-off phase.

In fact, the reason he is essentially dropping Richie in the meantime is that he needs his focus right now, the source added. "They're taking a break right now, so Scott can just focus on the most important things in his life — his health and his kids," a source told PEOPLE in an earlier report.

There has also been an earlier report that claimed Disick is just presently "committed to getting better." This is why he decided to sought treatment at a Colorado treatment facility back in late April. However, this did not go well, because a photo of him at the center leaked online on May 4, prompting him to cut his rehab short.

At present, he's striving to keep a low profile. At the same time, looking for all the possible help he can get, in four areas of his life - psychologically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. He admitted that he needed all four types of help, which is essentially the first step to getting better.

If Kourtney Kardashian and their kids are the ones who can help him the most, then there should not be rumors or malicious reports about it, even though it is natural that some of their fans truly wish they can get back together.
