Kylie Jenner could reportedly go to jail for five years if she is proven to have lied about her billionaire status.

While speaking with In Touch Weekly, Beverly Hills attorney Jeffrey Steinberger said that Jenner could be sent to jail if the IRS will be able to prove that she filed false reports about her earnings.

A source told the tabloid that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is mortified by all the allegations because they are making her look so vain and desperate. The insider also said that the last thing that Jenner wants is to go to prison.

“She knows how fickle Hollywood and fans can be, especially when someone is accused of lying. This could ruin her,” the source said.

Last year, Forbes named Jenner as the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. One of the reality TV star’s biggest sources of income was from her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics.

Immediately after Forbes’ list was released, Jenner’s critics questioned what the publication meant when they said self-made. They also accused Jenner and her mom, Kris Jenner of lying about her real earnings.

Several outlets accused Jenner of lying and sources close to Stormi’s mom revealed that she’s outraged by the allegations.

“It’s no surprise she’s obsessed with money, power, and image, but her whole life is as fake as those lips,” the critics claimed.

Immediately after, momager Kris encouraged her youngest child to fire back at the haters via her Twitter account. However, the move backfired.

“She’s the one who pushed Kylie to issue a denial on Twitter but it backfired. Kylie ended up getting bashed for it. People were outraged that she would be concerned about looking slightly less wealthy when there are so many more important issues going on in the world,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Jenner is upset with her mom for encouraging her to air her sentiments online. As such, the mom of one has been refusing Kris’s calls.

Jenner’s lawyer, Michael Kump is urging Forbes to retract their statements about his client lying about her earnings.

However, one should take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt. After all, Jenner is standing by Forbes’ initial reporting that she’s the top self-made billionaire of 2019.

It is true though that Jenner sold 51 percent of her company to beauty giant Coty. And she received $600 million for it in exchange.
