Queen Elizabeth is reportedly having a blast while quarantining in Windsor Castle with Prince Philip.

After decades of working hard for the British monarchy, the queen was formed to take a breather from her royal duties due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, the outbreak is the first opportunity in the queen’s entire working life that she’s had any time to herself. Seward told In Touch Weekly that the Queen is enjoying her newfound freedom.

Since the queen has been staying at home, she doesn’t need to dress up in her usual coat dress attire. But every now and then, the queen would still dress up in her work clothes even though she’s just at home.

Seward said that since the queen has more time for herself, she’s able to style her own hair. After all, her longtime stylist, Ian Carmichael has been self-isolating in London.

The queen’s meals have also become less formal. She usually eats her meals in front of the television. Unlike when she’s busy with her royal duties, the queen’s cook serves the food.

But since she’s on lockdown, the queen’s meals are reportedly placed on a sideboard and she serves them herself.

Some of the queen’s favorite shows that she gets to watch while self-isolating include EastEnders and Coronation Street. Before her day ends, the queen also reportedly enjoys an evening bath.

“Her Majesty likes to keep her brain active. She’s adapting well. She’s keeping calm and carrying on,” Seward said.

The queen also plays Scrabble, and she goes on regular FaceTime calls with the other members of the royal family. After all, she has not seen them in three months.

One of the possible signs that the queen misses her grandson and great-grandchildren include sharing their photo on the Royal Family’s official Instagram account.

On Saturday, Prince William and Kate Middleton uploaded an adorable photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte with their dad to commemorate Volunteers’ Week.

Hours later, the queen shared the same photo alongside her statement about Volunteers’ Week.

She said that the week should be used to reflect on the thousands of people who have achieved so much good through their acts of generosity and kindness.

The queen also said that she has been following with great interest how some people and the royal family have been helping and recognizing the vital role of being volunteers.
